The Society's exhibits at other Shows

The Society has mounted exhibits of Members' plants at various Shows around the country - and sometimes overseas - for over 30 years, during which time we have built up a good solid reputation for the consistent high quality of both plants and displays.  This has been possible only because of our good fortune in having a good number of Members who are skillful growers - and who are generously prepared to lend their precious plants to our co-operative endeavours - plus a continually evolving Show Committee with the necessary design skills to make the best use of those treasures.

Mounting these displays takes considerable time and effort, but we really wouldn't do it if we didn't enjoy it.  The not infrequent complimentary comments on the quality of our plants and displays is a bonus, but helps make it worthwhile, too!  Additionally, the great majority of our many awards have been won by individual Members who have put in the hard work growing their plants so well.  The tangible proof afforded by the award ribbons, medals and trophies is therefore a welcome and permanent reminder of their successes.
