With the aim of keeping members "in touch", particularly those who are unable to attend meetings very often, each issue includes a summary of all meetings held since the previous issue - brief synopses of lectures, full reports of Shows, etc. Also included is information on future meetings and other events, significant news of members, plus short articles supplied by members. Where possible, articles and reports are illustrated with full colour photographs.
Top Orchid was developed over many years as a labour of love by its "founding editor", Allan Burdis, who slaved for hours over a hot keyboard to create a very professional publication much valued by all members.
During 2019 Allan passed the torch to Roger Frampton, who as the new editor will now take on Allan's regular battles to gather enough material to fill each issue. Members are therefore urged to join in and offer articles for publication - just email him at , or have a word with him at the next meeting.
