A little bit about us.
We are a group of amateur orchid growers and others with an interest in, and a passion for, orchids, based in Bournemouth on the south coast of England.
The Bournemouth Orchid Society was originally formed in 1959. From humble beginnings, the Society has become one of the largest amateur orchid societies in the UK, drawing its membership from a wide area.
Our main activities are our monthly meetings, which include lectures by nationally and internationally recognised experts, two public shows a year, and in-house plant clinics. We also arrange social events and visits to orchid nurseries, and we maintain a comprehensive Library of orchid books for members' use.
